Rachael Lang's New Postcard

Working with Rachael to produce a highly effective marketing postcard, led to this simple yet graceful design that will be sure to stand out. We chose two shots for this design and the back side is left blank for customization. The print is on 4x6 heavy stock and gloss laminated on the front.

Practicing Enhanced Processing

A photographer friend of mine recently showed me Manuel Libres Librodo, Jr.'s portfolio on PBase and I was amazed at the proficiency of his glamorous capturing and processing. I hope to develop my style further and enhance my skills in the area of post processing. It will be greatly beneficial to the actors and models that I shoot to provide another service to really create wonderful images for their portfolios.

Here is my interpretation of Librodo's style
(in a subtle Marilen way):

Ultra-Process of Alix with cropping...
Feel free to comment and let me know what you think. I will be posting more enhancements soon. (Make sure you click on the final photo above to see it enlarged... this posted pic has been compressed and shows too much pixelation.)

Juan Hume Test Shots

Juan is our sponsored model in training whose personality and overall attitude is just a pleasure to be around. We have no doubt of Juan's ability to become a highly sought after model in this market and beyond because he is driven, yet very empathic of the expectations others may have of him. We did these shots really simple with the goal of getting everyday type shots of Juan. We did one outfit change and chose the top 15 of each look. The album has the 30 photos we love and you can view it here: http://artinspired.smugmug.com/photos/swfpopup.mg?AlbumID=9393656&AlbumKey=Yb8QJ

We have another shoot coming up which will involve two other models, high fashion and various locations.

Kasey Rhyne

When makeup artist Mitzi LaPaugh asked me if I could suggest a new face for her new makeup concept, I was elated to suggest dancer Kasey Rhyne as a perfect option. I'm glad Mitzi approved and we set up a shoot to showcase both the makeup and Kasey's beauty. We got to work at City Center and did two outfits. The goal was to do something commercial and vibrant and a little more fun, flirty and artsy.

*** Kasey is also a new dance instructor at Amy's Dance Studio. She is a graduate of the Teacher Training College taught by Amy Hontos.

Kelly Johnson

Kelly is an aspiring event planner and is a recent transplant to Newport News, Virginia from South Carolina. She holds an Associates Degree in Hospitality and has culinary arts experience. We shot her simple introductory shots at City Center in Newport News with natural lighting. Mitzi LaPaugh did her makeup very soft to bring out her beautiful features.

She plans to get her feet wet in this market by possibly working marketing and promotional events. We networked her with our model find, Juan Hume, whose photos we just recently shot and will be posting this week.

Winifred at the Riverwalk

Installment number 2 of beautiful Winifred, this time it's to round off her portfolio with fitness shots. She wore three outfits, the first being a very ethnic look with head wrap and a colorful long dress. The other two were bikinis that really highlighted Winifred's physique. She was brilliant posing in the hot sun and her confidence and personality shone through.

We shot these photos at the Riverwalk in Yorktown, Virginia. Makeup work was done by the awesome Mitzi LaPaugh.
